  1. In addition to Chris' recommendations I would like to suggest Ann Laquer Estin's International Family Law Desk Book (published in 2012 by American Bar Association Section of international Law), call no. K670.E845 2012 in our library. With one out of eight residents in the US is foreign born (2010 Census, http://www.census.gov/how/infographics/foreign_born.html), even family law can have an international element.
